Students rotate through four hands-on laboratory workstations that include:\n\u00b7 amplification of DNA using polymerase chain reaction\n\u00b7 the use of gel electrophoresis in sorting DNA fragments\n\u00b7 the interpretation of gel runs for DNA profiling\n\u00b7 the use of enzymes including polymerase to synthesise DNA and endonucleases to cut DNA\n\u00b7 the use of pipettes.\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<strong>Get into Genes &#8211; DNA\u00a0(Yr 10)<\/strong> has students explore the application of analytical techniques to on-farm biosecurity and efficiency improvements.
